Tendo como base a ideia de “destruição para renovação” e a premissa de renovar o vestuário masculino, o trabalho de Estelita Mendonça pretende-se destruir os códigos impostos pela sociedade para alcançar uma nova estética, mais andrógina, mais urbana, mais jovem e uma nova masculinidade.
O designer de moda de 24 anos, lembra que as marcas e convenções fazem parte da vida em sociedade e que a moda traduz muitas dessas regras, no equilibrio que encontrou entre vestuário feminino e masculino. Desconstruir essas regras é a proposta do jovem criador portuense.
Na coleção apresentada no último Portugal Fashion, Estelita Mendonça joga com uma paleta escura que brinca com a faceta mais cerimoniosa da roupa masculina, contrapondo-a com o seu lado minimal e cerebral.
Experiencing life in society are unavoidable marks and conventions. Some rules are a reflection of who we are as individuals of that society, fashion translates many of these rules have found the balance between male and female clothing. Based on the idea of "destruction for renewal," and the premise of renewing men's clothing, intended to destroy the codes imposed by society to achieve a new aesthetic. A more androgynous one, more urban, younger, and why not a new masculinity! The new collection of the designer is played with a dark palette that plays with the most ceremonious aspect of menswear in opposition to the minimal side and just brain.
